BSI Committee QS/001/04 Quality management in construction
The BSI have formed a new committee to undertake a review into how quality management systems are operated in the construction industry.
The committee will review how the current ISO 9001:2015 standard is applied within the construction industry. They will work to develop a new document to add additional sector specific requirements to the standard with the aim of improving how quality is perceived and managed in the industry.
As a recognised expert in the field of construction quality management, I have been invited to become a member of this committee alongside a broad spectrum of other stakeholders.
I have accepted this invitation and am looking forward to using my knowledge and experience to help define how construction quality management will develop into the future. After a long and successful career in construction quality management, it is good to be able to put something back into the industry which will be of benefit to others.
